Why Do People Text When They are Mad?
Why do people text when they are mad?
I, personally, do not understand why texting is so popular. I like to text occasionally, but it seems as if it takes forever to punch in an entire conversation. I would much rather just call someone and dish it out over the phone. Some people, though, put texting up on a pedestal and won’t do anything but that. I also found that a lot of people now are using texting to tell other people that they are mad at them. Why is this? I have come up with three reasons why this might be.

No hang ups.
When a person texts you and says they are mad at you for some reason or another, you have no choice but to have that message. Once you receive the first one and know what the subject of the conversation is, you can choose to ignore the rest, but until you read the first text, you won’t know that they are even mad.
Limited conversation.
A person who texts you and tells you that they are mad at you, has the advantage of not listening to your reaction to that fact. They don’t have to hear that you are mad too, or that you don’t think that’s fair. Their point was made and if they want the conversation to end there: it does.
Thinking time.
Instead of being rushed into some quick comeback, the person that is mad has a reasonable amount of time to think about the answer they are coming up with.
These are just a couple of reasons for why people use texting when they are mad.

I personally don’t feel like texting when mad. I slept.
It’s a good thing I don’t get mad often. I don’t know how to text.
texting is convenient.
If you are texting then you have time to erase something you really don’t want to say because you are mad. If you are talking to someone on the phone and say something nasty, you can say you are sorry, but you know that you should not have said it in the first place.
