One day a ship lands in some random forest, its beings step out. These beings are green, short, and have 3 eyes. They go around with their invisibility cloaks observing human behavior. The first thing they see are two of these water sacks kissing.

The Question I am trying to get at is would aliens kiss? For this article lets assume Aliens have no soul. Aliens having no soul would also make it easy for the various Churches and Religious Organizations of the world to explain the Alien’s existence in alignment with their beliefs.

Assuming that aliens have no soul lets see what they can or can’t do. They CAN read, write, communicate, reproduce, think, experience, and survive. They CANNOT have emotion. Not having emotion is the big thing I’m trying to get at. I believe the aliens would have “sex” or whatever they do to reproduce (for all we know they could be gaseous beings who asexually reproduce), but they wouldn’t experience the emotion behind it. They would view kissing and be confused because it is an emotion more then a verb. Their sex would be purely for reproductive reasons(The Church might like them).

A lot of people say beings without a soul would never be motivated enough to acquire the knowledge it would take, to visit us, due to their lack of emotion. I don’t agree I think you can be soulless and think. These beings would’ve evolved from the predators on their planet due to the fact that predators are always smarter then their pray. Also I don’t think these predators would have a morality because they don’t have emotion meaning they can’t feel grief. This means they probably don’t have a sense of right or wrong, that means we should be wary of becoming their new pray.

I don’t think the beings would understand kissing at first but eventually, I believe they would begin developing a soul, morality, and even emotion! They would probably stay shielded under some sort of “invisibility cloak” and observe for a while and then maybe they will make themselves look human and go out and assimilate into our society. They would quickly learn our language if they haven’t already and they would talk to different people and form relationships then a human being would do the unthinkable, do something extremely nice for the alien that isn’t in their own best interest but in the Alien’s. At this point in time the Alien would be simply flabbergasted, they would not understand why this human is putting the alien’s best interest before their own and at that moment in time something will click inside the Alien and HELLO SOUL! That’s right I do believe you can develop a soul. At this point Alien’s may start kissing and they may start feeling happy and they will stop putting their own best interests in front of others. That is if they don’t take over our planet and enslave us or kills us all by then.
