Can You Finish These Trivia Questions?
What makes trivia so interesting is the fact that something can be pulled from your grey matter to solve the unique question. Enjoy!
When I was a little girl, my family went on yearly trips to different places, by car. These activities spurred me into having a love for traveling. Along the eastern, southern region were a sporadic collection of signs advertising a product. The spacing was appropriate for even the driver to read as he piloted his vehicle at speeds of 45 MPH back then. An example for you to fill in the blank if you can.
1. Here lies the head of a man He does all that he can Trying his best to come clean
to take off the beard so it can’t be seen using __________ _______. This was not one of them, for sure since I just made this up now. It gives you the idea behind the signs along side the road.
As I grew older, I continued to travel right into my marriage, sometimes using other transportation. This trivia is a little old and dusty.
2. Take ____________ and leave the driving to us.
My mother and probably some of you mothers too seemed to be so smart in saying these little ditties to us as we were growing up. When I first heard them , I did not truly understand the magnitude of them.
3. Take it with a grain of _________.
4. An ounce of prevention is worth_____________.
Now for the answers to these so you can share them with other people too. Number one is Burma Shave. Number two is Greyhound. Number three is salt. Number four is pound of cure.

I’ve read dozens of Burma Shave jingles along the hiways but never bought any. Did that form of advertising work or was I just a hard sell? Maybe they should have used the one you just created.
Interesting.

I like these type of question. Great!

I made an A. I knew them all. I grew up with all the old folk sayings and I saw the Burma Shave signs on all our roads for years.
