Unexplained creatures have been seen throughout the world on dry land, marshes, swamps, lakes, seas and oceans.  Could it be these creatures are not the imagination of the human mind but that these creatures really do exist? 

  There are animals that were once thought to be extinct, such as the fish called the Coelacanth, but is still very much alive.  There are other animals that once were thought of as myths that were just discovered this Century, such as the Mountain Gorilla and Giant Panda, and there are others.

So why couldn’t other animals exist, such as the ones that science thinks are just the human imagination or myths?

  The Earth is very small compared to our large Universe, but it is large enough to sustain more life than what scientist actually think exist.  Scientist need a living species or a carcass to prove that a certain species exists but we surely do not want to go out and kill one of these species because if they really do exist we don’t know how close they are to extinction.  On the other hand, we really do need to know if they exist so we can protect them and their habitats so that they don’t go extinct.  Because there is a reason for everthing here on Earth and the so called intelligent human being should not upset that balance.

  We have already caused extinction of other known animals, one being the Thylacine, and there are others that are very close to extinction.

People are still claiming to see the Thylacine in Tasmania, but if so, their numbers are very low.  Other people are claiming to see big cats where big cats were never known to exist.

So can some of these cryptid animals exist?  Yes they can and so can many others that have never been seen.

  There are several creatures people claim still exist but is unproven by science.  I will list a few of these animals that are considered cryptid or just plain myth.

Ape like human animals:

Bigfoot, Yeti, Abominable Snowman, Skunkape, Sasquatch

Flying animals:

Thunder Bird, Teradactyl

Ocean or lake animals:

Lochness, Ogopogo, Champ

Mythical animals:

Jersey Devil, Mothman, Rods, Chupacabra

These are just a few of many that people have claimed to have seen.

  Now in my opinion there are two creatures that really do exist that scientist discredit and those are the ape like human creatures and the ocean or lake creatures.

These creatures have many different names, depending on what part of the world they are seen. (I gave you a few of the names above) The reason I believe they exist is because they are not seen in just one place, one country or on one continent but all over the world by totally different cultures.  So this alone should give scientists a different outlook on these species rather than just saying, “We need more proof”.

  These animals may be in abundance all over the world but may be going extinct in certain places.  I think these animals in particular need to be protected.
