A Fish Who Found Lost Glasses

Three fishy but true stories.

This fishy story happened in 1988, and puns aside this really happened.  Gosselin Delius, a man from Brussels who lost his glasses while sailing, later read in a newspaper that a Belgian fisherman had found a pair of glasses in a monk fish he gutted weighing 13lbs.  Delius called up the fisherman and matched the serial number on the glasses!  The glasses were returned to him with a slight bend, but otherwise quite fine!

Another story is from Hillingdon, California, where in 1979 Mrs. G. Gudebrod lost her wedding ring on an outing at the beach.  When her hubby brought home some crabs caught on the same beach a year later they found her ring was fixed to one of the crab’s claws!

Lastly, in 1980 Joseph Cross lost his ring.  In 1982 a ring was noticed in a fish in a restaurant in Charlottesville and returned to Joseph Cross who was found through the inscription in the ring.

I hope you’ve enjoyed all of these fishy but true stories!  Coincidences always excite people. Is it because it gives significance to even the smallest events?  Or because it makes us question the meaning in everything?  I am just fascinated by stories like these.
