Theodore Roosevelt was born October 27, 1858. He was born to a Dutch family that had come in the 17th century. At age eighteen he went to Harvard university he left Harvard four years later to study Germany. He studied this one year and then started politics. He then was made the ardent reformer for the state of New York. His young years were interesting but his older years will make you aw and cry.

Theodore grew up and married Alice Hath way lee. Years later on the year of 1884 because of the death of his wife and mother on the same day he finally decided he had to abandon the sorrow of the massively sad event. He soon inherited a ranch in the bad lands of Dakota from his father. Theodore really faced a bad hard ship.

He bought a Rifle and began hunting. He later became in love with the sport of hunting. Then he joined the big hunting game. Then after regaining his health he went back to New York. It was not long before he started politics again.

He got the job of the New York police commander. Two later he was made the United States secretary of the Navy by president McKinley. He fought in the Spanish American war With the rough riders and was put on the front page of the news paper as the hero of the war.
