The Romans were one of the strongest and mightiest empires in history.

They built the coliseum, one of the Seven Wonders of the World today. They built most of our trade routes and created lots of things we use today. Although the Romans invaded Britain and lots of other places the Romans left many improvements before they were defeated. They had a similar government to what most countries have today. Caesar was an army general that became their leader. Since the Romans were a republic he only led for a short time. In that time he was a kind, giving man to his people and gave the poor food, water and land. He made major improvements to Rome and it is said that the Roman Empire was created later because of Caesar. The Senate was afraid that he would declare himself Emperor so one night they hid in his room and when he came in they jumped and stabbed him to death. He got murdered for getting to much power so he became unpopular. The Romans also set an example for our economy and military today. The Romans military was probably the strongest ever and it was the best prepared for war. The Romans were great inventors and here is some of them that are used today:

We use the Bridges often today as a safe and convenient way to travel over waters and roads (that also were invented by the Romans), also they invented the dams and without them in some countries there would be no water and in some there would be many floods, without the Roman aqueducts There would be no way to transport water with a place with no space for pipes, mining is extra important because with there was no mining there would be no metals out of rocks and then we would still be using wood, last but most important is sanitising, it help protect you from extremely harmful diseases like cholera that drains your strength and tortures you till you die.
