This article is different. Recently, I’ve found something very interesting things about Albert Einstein and I would like to share it with others. So after researching a little about this, I decided to write this article. I’m sure readers will enjoy it.

Einstein Had Speech Difficulty As A Child

As a child, Albert Einstein seldom spoke. When he did, he spoke very slowly. Till the age of nine, Einstein talked very slowly. His parents used to think he is a retarded child.

No Socks For Einstein

One of Einstein peculiar habits was he never wore socks. Whether it was a casual walk or to a formal dinner to White House, Albert Einstein never wore socks.

Married His Cousin

After divorced his first wife in 1919, Einstein married to his cousin, Elsa Loewenthal. Elsa Loewenthal was actually related to Albert on both sides of his family. Albert’s mother and Elsa’s mother were sisters, plus Albert’s father and Elsa’s father were cousins. 

Failed His University Entrance Exam

At the age of 19, Albert Einstein applied for early admission into the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School.

A Ladies’ Man

Albert Einstein was a ladies’ man. His Infidelity and love affairs which were later revealed in his letters.

Presidency For Israel

In 1952, at the age of 73, he was offered the president-ship of Israel. But Einstein declined the offer because of his age. Also for lacked the “natural aptitude” and “experience to deal properly with people.”

Obsessed Smoker

Albert Einstein Loved to smoke. Einstein is noted as saying, “I believe that pipe smoking contributes to a somewhat calm and objective judgment in all human affairs”.

Loved To Sail

Einstein would often take a boat out onto a lake and relax.  He never learned to swim but he kept sailing as a hobby throughout his life.

Didn’t Get Along Well With His Oldest Son

After the divorce, Einstein relationship with his oldest son, Hans Albert, turned bad. Hans blamed his father for leaving Mileva. When Einstein died, he left very little inheritance to Hans Albert.

Albert Einstein Had An Illegitimate Child

In 1902, a year before their marriage, Mileva gave birth to a daughter named Lieserl, whom Einstein never saw and whose fate remained unknown. In a letter from Einstein to Mileva from September 19, 1903, Lieserl was mentioned for the last time. After that, nobody knows anything about Lieserl Einstein-Maric.

    The only thing ol’ Al and I had in common. I would have most certainly failed my university entrance exam, also.

    Well, well, I had no clue about any of these and this is a particularly interesting one because it shows that even a genius like Einstein had his own flaws…really well researched – I’m terribly impressed!
