Murder in the Desert
A smart brainteaser.
This is a story about three people (Jeff, Joe and John) crossing the desert. John is the only one who had water. Jeff hated John and decided to kill him. So he poisoned the water in John’s sack. Joe also wanted to kill John. Joe punched a hole in the bottom of the water sack slowly spilling out all the water. Joe had no idea Jeff poisoned the water. A few days later John died of thirst. Who was the murder? Have a theory? Write it below.

Both Jeff and Joe are the murderers. Each had motive, intent and took action on them. John died as the result of both their actions. Had either of them not acted on their motive/intent, John would still be dead. Each of them, therefore, murdered John.
I’m thinking John because he wasn’t taking any chances with that water and unfortunately, poisoned or spilled he died anyway. Not to mention, the other 2 never had any wate either, so am I to presume they too died of thirst?
