What Type of a Person are You?
Are you restless? Here’s how you can tell.
Every once awhile, there’s a point when you turn absolutely restless. You might in fact in turn feel useless. Nevertheless, the inevitable fact of churning 24 hours out of a day can seem to be an endless reason for that type of a feeling. I, for one, am afflicted by that feeling quite often (the ‘restless’ part, NOT the ‘useless’). My suggestion is – take a break!!
Stop doing what you usually do and look at everything with detached emotions. Honestly, it’s with this act that the restlessness would really get to you and make you wonder…why? Whatever be the reason, you ought to simply snap out of it, complete what you were doing and then later on, when you are alone or taking a break, reflect back at that feeling.
Upon checking out the ‘remedy’ for this, people ( I say ‘people’ because I do not remember the resources and I did not make it up either) suggested that you make a list of things you do and a list of things you wish to do. Here comes the ‘be-your-own-doctor’ bit, the easiest way to analyze yourself is to compare the two lists made. One of the following should be a category you fall into -

(i) No correlation – If this is your category :
You really have no idea what you’re doing…rather why you’re doing it. This is not what you want. You started it for some reason and now…you’re not sure how you ended up here doing what you do.
(ii) No correlation with a clause – Most people fall in this category:
It’s similar to the “Terms and Conditions Apply”. You might be in this category because you’re committed to some segment in your life-sphere. It’s important you live up to your commitment and you set aside your likes and dislikes. You are fundamentally strong natured, but what about the ‘things you wish to do’ list??….Mmm..think about it?
(iii) Resemblance:
Your list “kinda” compliments each other. It also “kinda” contradicts. You’ve either have no idea how to proceed ticking off the items listed in the “things you wish to do list” or to diminish the fancy thought. You are invariably the ‘guy on the fence’…you’re neither on this side nor that… you’re a little of both…
(iv) Ditto:
Both the lists are the same. You don’t know which is which! Well, you’re very lucky. You know what you want out of life, you know where you’re at, you don’t need to compromise your wants on commitments and you are working toward what you always wanted.
Which category do you fall in? How can you be sure about it?
