First of all to become a pirate, it is very important that you get a sabre and learn how to use it. I suggest you go to a fencing class. You can buy your own sabre online for around $20-$30. After that you must learn to dress like a pirate. For this you could get a bandana, or eye patch. be creative. Talking is also important. Here’s a short pirate vocabulary list:

Aye = yes or I agree.

Ye’ = You

Ol’ = Old

scurvy dogs = pirate, usually lower in rank then you.

Capn’ = Captain

Ahoy = hello or hi.

Avast = here.

Walk the Plank = literal

Now next you need a ship. Of course nowadays it is usually just a speed boat.

There are two ways you can do this A) Steal a boat or B) Buy one.

I suggest you either stay on land or just buy a boat.

Just kidding. You don’t really need a boat to become a pirate. You just need a sword, clothes, the talk, and most importantly, a swagger.

To have a good swagger you could actually get drunk…… or you could just walk funny (like you are drunk).

To finish off your overall look, you should get a bottle that looks like rum and fill it with pop. That way it looks like you really are drinking rum.

And last but not least, the convention.

You could go to a medieval or pirate convention probably nearby your neighbourhood and show off your talents.
