Just a Stupid Question
Some people have this particular after-meal habit that may seem gross. I asked several individuals to share their thoughts on it.
Question: You just finished eating. You take a mouthful of water and gargle with it. Then you swallow it. Why? To get the excess food particles out of your mouth and also to drink. Gross or not?
- Torria – That’s gross. At least spit it out.
- Seaman – I don’t think it’s gross.
I wouldn’t want to look at what I just ate looks like mixed with a buttload of water.
THAT would be gross. - Ruby – You should spit it out because you might get germs….
- EaglesFan – Yeah, I do it too, but I am a lot less noticable about it than most people, I hate going to dinner with people who will gargle or pick their teeth and stuff at the table. LOL
- Krissy – You are suppose to swish and swallow, they say not to spit it out because when you do that, you’re just putting the food particles right back in between your teeth. It does sound gross but , yeah it does…
- Sally – Somehow it’s gross when you read it. Well, why do you put it this way, it’s merely food we’ve eaten anyway. We deliberately put it into our mouths for consumption, so why should we fear a little leftover in our mouth? I’ve done that……..

It’s gross if they do it in front of me. I’d prefer they at least leave the table, especially if I’m still eating.
Gross, gross, gross. People also pick their teeth, gross too.
I grew up on a farm;nothing grosses me out.
Well I guess wet food makes you eat less.
This is a fun article, depends on the person…What gross? i think it’s cool, especially when u tease someone and they say…ewww…–get out!
And u ended up laughing…
It’s not supposed to be gross since it’s a person’s own mouth but I find it gross, lol.
