A Beautiful Creation in the Insect World
A beautiful creation in the insect world: The Ladybug.
The ladybug is part of the family of the beatles. Its real name is “Coccinellidae”. They are also called the “ladybird”.
This insect can be found worldwide. They don’t grow much, ranging from 1mm to 10mm. Sadly, they may only live 1-3 years if conditions are right. This may be a shock, but females are slighty larger then males in size! The female beetle may lay anywhere from 50 to 1,000 eggs in three months around spring and summer seasons.
This is a picture above of a labybug and her eggs. A ladybug’s babies are the larva. They tend to lay eggs where a source of food is nearby. There are over 350 species of ladybugs in North America.
