A Way to Save the World
The world can cope without the use of oil and this article will explain why.
Heres the dilemma: The world does not simply have an unlimited supply of oil and once the oil wells finally run dry, the world will be in a crisis because no oil means no transportation, electricity in some cases, and the economy will come to a screeching halt. There is absolutely no way to stop this and we are all destined to doom. WRONG! If the countries of the world finally come to their senses and stop consuming all of the oil in the planet and start using alternative methods of producing energy, the energy crisis will be obliterated! For example, if the rulers of the best countries in the world meet up one day and have a convention and seriously talk about ways to change to alternative sources, there would be no need for using oil any more! So I made this arcticle to talk about the top three different methods of producing “green” energy and save the world
.
Wind power

Wind power is the most known source of “green” power aside from solar power. Wind turbines operate on a simple principle. The energy in the wind turns two or three propeller-like blades around a rotor. The rotor is connected to the main shaft, which spins a generator to create electricity. The electricity is then pumped underground to power one house or supply enough energy to power a whole city. The only downside of using this method for producing energy is that the propellers will need daily maintenance to remain at good condition. Another downside is that many bird carcasses have been found mutilated next to the propellers. Strange eh?
Hydropower

Hydropower, or hydraulic power, has been used for hundreds of years. It has been used from producing flour to grain to producing energy from the currents of the ocean. Hydropower is very similar to wind power, but instead of wind, there is current. The current of a river or ocean spins underwater propellers which are also connected to a main shaft which spins a generator to produce electricity. Dams are another form of hydropower. These tall structures are built in the middle of a powerful river and the current of the river is constantly pushing against these massive behemoths and also at the bottom of the dams are propellers which are also connected to a shaft which spins another kind of generator and these dams produce massive amounts of electricity partly because of their size and partly because of the natural current which pushes the river. There are barely any disadvantages to hydropower because of it being underwater.
Solar power

Since ancient times solar power has been harvested and consumed. This is a very important source of energy because any country in the world can harness it. The way solar energy works is when light from the sun hits the panels, electrons that are the modified silicon’s electrons start hitting the walls of the silicon and these loose electrons are forced by electric fields in the solar panel to flow along wires that have been placed within the cells which produces energy which is transformed into electricity by the solar panel. Solar panels can be used anywhere.
If people use these three ways of producing clean, green energy, the world will be a better place.

It is true that we need to start relying on other meathods of producing electricity. We have the knowledge – we just need to find a way to use it in ways that are more cost effective than oil.
I love when people use their mighty pen to inform the public on subjects that otherwise would be squelched by the mighty powers that be. Thonk you from the bottom of my heart.
