Female anglers have a specially designed part that is branched off from their head which helps them attract a prey like a squid to their enormous mouth with murderous teeth. This lure that is intriguing to a prey gives out a light that is generally generated by bacteria where they inhabit permanently. There are different kind of lures in Anglers which their exact function is not yet known.

On the other hand the male angler is very different in features. A male angler is a tenth size of a female and its only purpose is to find a mate. As a result a female angler releases some chemicals into the water which the male can scent with a particular organ in front of it’s eyes. After he finds the female he bites her belly and gets attached to her. After few weeks the male is completely fused to the female where he will stay for the rest of his life with her blood circulating his body to provide sustenance he needs. In this way the female gets a reliable source of sperms she needs for reproducing.
