Forest are ares with a high population of trees. But the numbers of trees are falling because of illegal logging and burning of the trees this process is called deforestation . Now only 9.4% of the earth are trees and only 30% percent of trees are left on land. logging is hard to stop because it is impossible to identify lumber.

Forests and rain forests are home to many species of wildlife. These creatures are finding hard to cope as there habitats are being destroyed. Forests are found all over the world in places that can substane trees, these places are mostly found close to the equator.
