Here are 13 Animals That Could Tickle Your Toes

Some animals could make us wonder at times with their amazing characteristics.

  1. Camel

    Have you ever asked yourself what camels do with that hump at their back? That hump is used as a built-in food store room so that it could go without food for as long as two weeks. The animal needs its hump because it lives in the desert where food and water is scarce.

  2. Bats

    Bats are nocturnal animals. They use sound to find their way into the darkness instead of light as other animals do.

  3. Blue-Tongued Skink

    This animal is a weird looking lizard- like animal that sticks out its big blue tongue to frighten enemies away.

  4. Starfish

    Starfish has something hidden in those arms, it has no head but its eyes are at the end of the arms.

  5. Snakes and Lizards

    Snakes and lizards display characteristics that amaze man because they don’t smell with their noses instead their tongues pick up smells from the air and the ground as they flick their long tongues in and out.

  6. Flamingoes

    Have you ever wondered why flamingoes have pink colors? They get their pink colors from the shrimp that they eat. If flamingoes don’t get enough shrimps to eat they turn dull grey.

  7. Ostrich

    An ostrich has long, strong legs that enable it to run twice as fast as the Olympic runner.

  8. Mudskipper

    A mudskipper is an odd fish in that it can climb trees with its leg-like fins, clinging on with a sort of suction cup on its belly. Mudskippers can get oxygen from air as well as water so that it can stay alive out of the water.

  9. Fleas

    For their size, fleas are the world’s highest jumpers. They could jump 100 times their height.

  10. Ant eater

    A giant anteater can eat 30,000 ants, scooping as many as 500 ants with its long tongue.

  11. Aye-Aye

    Aye-aye is a strange monkey- looking animal that has one very long thin finger that it uses to poke under tree barks for grubs and insects to eat. It uses the long finger like a fork. This animal lives on the island of Madagascar, off the coast of Africa.

  12. Archer Fish

    Archer fish has a way of catching insects to eat, It shoots an insect with a jet of water even up to 3 meters away then gobbles the insect as it falls into the water.

  13. Sharks

    Sharks can grow a new set of teeth every two weeks. Their skins are too rough that they were once used as sand paper.
