One Note On: Brain Memory

The most important part of our brain is the memory. Why is it so important? Because if you did not have it, you would not even know who you are.

Memory is one of the most fascinating and one of the most studied features of our brain.

What makes memory so unique and why is memory so important?

Because without memory you would not know who you are, without memory you would not know where you live, without memory you would not even know how to use a spoon to feed yourself.

It’s the memory that makes you unique, it’s the memory that makes you think because thought is nothing but memories processed. Try to think about something you do not know a thing about. (this is why our brains makes so many mistakes about unknown situations) The memory will also make your brain know who it is, will make you remember your name, will make you remember what your goals are and so on.

Did you know that 70% of all our neuronal connections change everyday? Most of these connections are memory connections. The things, activities, memories we exercise are strengthened, and the ones that are not stimulated simply die or are disconnected from other neurons.

Once one neuron becomes disconnected from other neurons it will die because of lack of stimulation, much lack your arms and legs become weak if you do not use them too.

The more you exercise your memory the better it will become.

Some scientists say our brain is really the ultimate “use or lose it” machine.

The more you train it, the better it will become, the better you will think and the chances to develop brain diseases are halved, sometimes even reduced more than 90%!

Did you know that vision uses 80% of all the brain pathways?

This is really good. It is important to do what we can to conserve our memory.
