Travel around the world and see these wonderful geysers in person.

The world has countless amazing and astonishing views. One of the many gifts of nature considered spectacular are geysers. Here’s a list of the world’s most splendid geysers.

Herl’any: Slovakia

In Slovakia, there is a town called Herľany and the village is popular because it has the only cold water geyser in the country. This geyser’s eruption can reach up to 10-15 meters high and each eruption lasts around 25 minutes.

Valley of Geysers: Russia

This site is notable because it is the only geyser field in Eurasia and the world’s second largest concentration of geysers. The Valley of Geysers

El Tatio: Chile

The El Tatio which means the grandfather is the third largest geyser field in the world. The area has over 80 active geysers and is the largest geyser field in the southern hemisphere.

Strokkur: Iceland

Iceland is one of the countries in the world with the most number of volcanoes, naturally, numerous hot springs and geysers can also be found in this country. One of the most remarkable geysers in this beautiful country is Strokkur. This geyser erupts very reliably every 5-10 minutes, hurling boiling water to heights of up to 20 meters (70ft) towards the sky.

The Great Geysir: Iceland

The oldest known geyser in the world is located in Iceland – the Geysir or also known as The Great Geysir. It is likewise one of the world’s most impressive examples of the phenomenon. The English word geyser to describe a spouting hot spring derives from Geysir. Eruptions at Geysir can hurl boiling water up to 60 meters in the air. Its eruption is irregular just like the Strukkor.

Lady Knox Geyser: New Zealand

New Zealand has some of the most notable geysers in the world, one of which is the Lady Knox Geyser. The geyser is induced to erupt daily at 10:15am by dropping soap into the opening of the vent. Eruptions produce a jet of water reaching up to 20m and can last for over an hour.

Wow! I never knew there were so many geysers in the world. I was surprised to read that some of them erupt every 5 to 10 minutes and that they spout so far.

I can always count on you to bring something interesting, nobert. This one is fantastically interesting.
