Crocodile lays eggs in a burrow created by them about 10 to 20 feet into a creek bank and eggs take around 3 months to incubate. Crocodiles may lay eggs in numbers from 8 to 80.

Alligators have broad snouts compared to crocodiles and they are part of the crocodile family.
It is believed that crocodiles existed from 200 million years ago.

Crocodile is a word derived from Greek word “crocodiilos” meaning lizard.
It was recorded that the crocodile in Australian Zoo died at the age of 130 years.
Skin of crocodile is used to make purses, belts, hats, shoes and wallets and the meat of crocodile is consumed in countries like Australia, Thailand, Cuba and South Africa.
Large crocodiles have been found to be about 7 meters long and weighing more than 2000 pounds.
A fierce crocodile named Gustave in Africa has killed over 300 humans and once ate a hippopotamus. Gustave also appeared in movie Primeval.
Crocodiles are also farmed commercially for their leathers. In Asia, Siamese Crocodile is reared in farms.
