Some newborn bats are unlucky enough to loose their moms at this young age. Their parents have died to a deadly tick named the paralysis tick. When the mom bat dies the baby bat aren’t left to die, luckily a special hospital called the Tolga bat hospital. This hospital is located in Australia. This hospital takes in these orphaned bats and raises them. This hospital wraps the bats in blankets like a mother bat will wrap her young under her wing around the bat. Also like a mother bat will do, they feed the bats with warm milk trough a bottle. When the bats are old enough to leave, they put the bats in a cage and hang out in the rainforest. They put the bats in a cage so the bats can learn how to hunt their own food.

After a few months in the cage they know how to catch their own food. The bats are ready to leave the cage and enter the wild. Hopefully these bats can give birth to a young and not die to the paralysis tick.
