Everyone has heard about the swine flu. What you probably haven’t heard are some really interesting facts.

1. No one knows where it officially came from. Everyone thinks it came from Mexico, not officially though.
2. You can not get it by eating pork. Just because its called swine flu doesn’t mean you get it from pork products.
3. It is officially called H1N1 influenza. They only call it this so they don’t scare you of eating pork products.
4. It has been in the USA before. It has been in the USA before, but it is not the same .
5. They are making a vaccine for it. The vaccine should be coming within 6 months.
6. Barack Obama does not have swine flu.  This rumor went around after the tour guide Obama met in Mexico died, but not of swine flu.
7. Masks do help. Masks like these do help, but not that much since the virus is smaller than the holes in the mask.
8. You can get the virus by standing within 6 feet of someone who has it. This is called the breathing zone.
