Trivia for The End of August
An assortment of trivia so you can stay well informed. I am thinking there are things here you do not know. We all learn from somewhere, why not learn from my post?
Most trivia available are things that are obscure. That is primarily what trivia is all about with the unique information it provides. I am including the answers too, so you won’t have to wait to know the whole story about these trivia tid bits. Lately I have been placing all the answers at the bottom so you can test yourself before looking to see if you guessed correctly.
- Name the 5 boroughs of New York
- What Island is in the New York harbor?
- What is the name of one of the islands in Flathead Lake, in Kalispell, Montana? By the way this is the largest fresh water lake west of the Mississippi.
Name 12 countries that have islands for sale.
- The five boroughs of New York are widely known to those that live or have lived in the vicinity of New York City. They are: Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island and the Bronx.
- Manhattan is one of the boroughs and is also an island that is located in the New York harbor.
- There are several island that sit in Flathead Lake in Kalispell, Montana. One is called “Wild Horse Island”.
- Countries that have islands for sale are numerous. Here are 12: 1. Portugal 2. Scotland 3. Turkey 4. Greece 5. Finland 6. Italy 7. Ireland 8. Norway 9. Sweden 10. Brazil 11. Chili 12. Argentina

Interesting trivia but none caught my eye as much as islands for sale did! Wow, really? They SELL islands? I’m waiting for the day when I’ll get rich to sell my OWN islands. Interesting article teaching me some things I didn’t really know about the US. Cheers!
