I have no idea!
These are the questions that philosophers should be answering.
I have to say one thing, “Thanks for the laugh.” People do stupid things.
1. It reduces the wind by a lot. Driving (in the front seat) of a convertible isn’t as windy as you think it’d be. It also reduces drag a tiny bit.
2. Cars are pretty easy to finance, compared to places to live. As a person’s economic circumstances change for the better, they’re more likely to get a better car than to go through the trouble of moving. Cars are flashy, too. They’re easier to finance because there’s less risk for the lender. It’s easier to reposess a car than a house, or to evict someone. Housing has its own special laws.
3. They could be diabetics (some eat like that) or just like the taste of diet Coke. Or it makes them feel as though they’re doing something good for their health.
5. I’ve never seen that! I hope the wouldn’t leave it on while they’re not in the car. I guess seeing that car again when they come out isn’t a huge deal.
6. LOL! The universe might explode on itself if someone came up w/ an explanation for that.
7. a. To save gas, drive more safely, look for an address, prepare for an upcoming change in speed. It’s also unsafe, though, to go too far below. Some states have minimum speeds.
7. b. In many states, it’s not illegal to drive in this lane w/out intending to pass. In my state (Calif.), it’s not. It’s just the left lane, and people drive there because traffic tends to be faster.
8. It should be!
