Have you ever wondered what the biggest animals in the world are?
Well, I’m about to tell you.
The biggest land animal.
The biggest land animal is the African Elephant.
The males can grow up to 4 meters, the females can grow up to 3 meters.
The males can weigh up to 12.000 kilograms.
The elephant is a pretty massive creature as you can see.
There is another kind of elephant as well, it is called the Asian elephant.
The Asian elephant is shorter than the African elephant.
The tallest land animal.
The tallest land animal is the Giraffe.
It can grow up to 5.5 meters tall which is about as high as three humans.
Even thought they are so tall they are much lighter than an elephant.
The Giraffes weigh about 1900 kilograms which is around 10.000 kilograms lighter than an African elephant.
The biggest insect in the world.
With insects in depends on what you call the biggest.
I’m going to take the heaviest because the heaviest is also the biggest but not necessarily in length.
In this case the biggest insect in the world would be the Deinarcida heteracantha also known as the little barrier island giant weta.
Insects aren’t that heavy or tall in comparisson to other animals, but for a insect this guy is really huge.
You don’t want to find one of those in you bed, do you?
And now finally the biggest animal living on earth.

The biggest animal living on this planet isn’t a land animal, it lives in the sea.
It is the blue whale.
The blue whale isn’t only the biggest animal alive, but it is also believed to be the biggest animal that has ever existed on earth.
They can grow up to 33 meters and they weight up to 170 000 kilograms(170 tons).
The tongue of the blue whale is as big as an elephant and weighs 2000 kilograms(2 tons).
Their hearth can weigh up to 500 kilograms.
As you can see our planet has some amazing, big animals.
